The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has announced that it will provide financial support to those affected by the forest fires raging across various parts of Turkey. According to the statement, households that have been impacted by the fires will receive 162,000 Turkish lira in assistance, while those who require temporary housing will receive 72,000 Turkish lira. The announcement comes as more than 50,000 people have been temporarily evacuated to safe areas due to the ongoing wildfires, which have affected locations in provinces such as Manisa, İzmir, and Hatay. AFAD has also reported that 79 people have been affected by the fires, with 350 AFAD personnel providing support in the firefighting efforts.
